Gionee A1 and A1 Plus, the first smartphones in the A series of Gionee, have been launched at the companys s MWC 2017 event in Barcelona on the Monday. Although, the company has announced the month of March for the availability of Gionee A1 and April for the A1 Plus. The former is priced at the cost of EUR 349 which is approx Rs. 24,600 and the latter at EUR 499 which is approx Rs. 35,200. The highlights of the two new A-Series smartphones, according to company officials, are long-battery life and high selfie photo quality. The Gionee A1 sports a battery of 4010mAh while the Gionee A1 Plus sports a battery of 4550mAh. The company also revealed that the smartphone supports 18W s ultrafast chargings  that charges the batteries fully in just 2 hours of time.
As for the selfie aspect, the Gionee A1 features a 16-megapixel front-camera while the Gionee A1 Plus has a 20-megapixel front camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 1/2.8-inch sensor, and with selfie flash. The A1 Plus also bears a dual rear camera setup, with 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors with an aperture of f/2.0, 1/3.06-inch sensor, and flash module that integrates and IR remote control sensor. The A1 only has a 13-megapixel primary rear camera. Both smartphones run on the Android version of 7.0 Nougat, and are dual-SIM offerings. The Gionee A1 Plus sports a 6-inch full-High definition(1080x1920 pixels) display, and runs on a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with the RAM of 4GB. It offers the standard connectivity options, which includes 4G, and comes with the 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage can be expandable via microSD card of up to 256GB. It will be available in two color options such as Grey, Mocha Gold.
The smartphone measurements are 166.4x83.3x9.1 and is weighs around 226 grams. The Gionee A1 on the other hand sports a 5-inch full-High Definition (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered and supported by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt onboard storage that is expandable via micro SD card of up to 256GB. It measurements are 154.5x76.5x8.5mm and is weighs around 182 grams.
