What's your number?: Movie Review

By Kismat Herr

The perfect chick flick for a lazy weekend. Whether you are feeling down or you just need a heavy dosage of some romantic comedy, this is IT. Get comfy because you will not want to pause the movie at all. What happens when a cute and cheerful girl (Anna Faris) realizes she has slept with way too many guys at least according to Cosmo and realizes that it’s her last opportunity to find a guy and settle down with him before she crosses the fateful number and ends up as a spinster (after she over imagines things too much). True or not, she doesn’t wish to risk it and thus endeavors to find all possible ways to meet ‘The One’.

Chris Evans plays the role of Colin Shea the irresistible, hot playboy and Ally’s (Anna Faris) neighbor who lives right across the hall from her. He sleeps with different people every night and she is on the hunt of soulmate. The question obviously arises that how do these two extremely different people end up as friends who almost spend all their time together (keeping in mind that it never happened before)? After learning about each other’s problems like Colin making stupid excuses every morning to avoid the girls in the morning and Ally trying to hunt down every eligible ex out there. They strike a deal.

Will she fall in love with the handsome but sensitive man who lives across from her who made her realize that her hobby has the potential of becoming an actual means of earning money, that she is talented and will he finally open up to her? Is he just trying to sleep with her or is the friendship actually love? Will she go off with Jake Adams (Dave Annable) or stay with the perfectly imperfect Colin? A colorful movie with a great soundtrack, jokes and really funny situations that will make you laugh out loud. Have fun watching it folks!
